Tuition and Fees
The Montessori School of Ruston is a non-profit institution dependent upon tuition for funds necessary to pay for employees’ salaries and operating expenses. Upon signing an enrollment contract parents assume responsibility for the payment of tuition for the entire school year. It is understood that no reduction in the yearly charge will be made for absence, withdrawal, or dismissal during the school year.
Standard Fees
New Student Application Fee - $50 per student
New Student Registration Fee - $300 per student
New Student Tuition Deposit Fee - $100 per student
*These are one-time non-refundable fees
Contigent Fees
Returned Check Fee - $25
Late Payment Fee - A charge of 1.5% per month will be added to accounts 30 days or more overdue
Late Pick-Up Fees
$2 per minute a student is picked up after the carline or pick-up ends with a minimum fee of $10 and a maximum fee of $30
$2 per minute a student is picked up after aftercare ends with a minimum fee of $10
Sibling Discount
7.5% discount on tuition for the second child
15% discount on tuition for the third child
20% discount on tuition for a fourth child or more
Parent School Partnership - $250 per family
At Montessori School of Ruston, we support parent involvement in your child’s education. Our parents meet this commitment through a parent work bond where all parents agree to complete 10 hours of volunteer time at MSR per school year. Families unable to fulfill their Work Bond commitment may fulfill their commitment to MSR by paying $12.50 hourly up to a maximum of $250.
Payment Plans
Annual Payment: The tuition deposit is deducted from the total tuition and the balance is due August 1st or on the first day of the month in which the student begins attending MSR.
Semi-Annual Payments: The tuition deposit is deducted from the total tuition, a service charge of $50 is added and the balance is divided into two equal payments due August 1st and January 3rd, or beginning on the first day of the month in which the student begins attending MSR and on the first day of a subsequent month to be determined by the MSR’s Business Office.
Monthly Payments: MSR offers 10-month and 12-month payment plans. The tuition deposit is deducted from the total tuition, a service charge of $15 per month is added, and the balance is divided into 10 or 12 equal payments. Tuition payments are due on the 1st of the month, commencing in August and ending in May for the ten-month plan or commencing in June and ending in May for the 12-month plan. All tuition must be paid by the end of May
